If you eat chocolate in the forest and no trees fall, do the calories count?

Peggy's oldest granddaughter has gone to her first prom

Lindsey, a freshman at a local high school, went to her first prom just before Christmas.

Peggy's slimmer and has let her hair "go" natural (gray).

Her grandchildren now number 5... 3 girls in Oregon & 1 girl & a grandson living in Anchorage, Alaska.

Just this week, she heard there is to be another girl grandbaby up in Anchorage. (3 sons and only 1 grandson... Go figure!)

Dawn's youngest are becoming young adults

Annie has a new "do" and Eli is one of the tough young men on the ice in Seattle (with the WHL Seattle Thunderbirds.).

Dawn is still a power in Delta Junction... Still a weather woman for the FAA, teaches pre-school, home schools, and plays with her grandson, Rafe.

Rafe lives in Fairbanks with his mom, Sarah. Sarah is a real hockey mom... learning the game on a women's hockey team!

Oldest son, Benjamin, is a hotshot graphic artist & designer for the movies down in Hollywood.

Eli plays defense on the Seattle Thunderbirds. They are a leading WHL hockey team.Chocolate is nature’s way of making up for Mondays

Eli and Annie are still home schooled. Sarah and Bed were also fine graduates of Dawn's home schoolin

Dawn's husband, Bruce is also a busy man. His main job is as an education counselor. But he is also a Lutheran missionary to the Alaskan natives in the upper Tanana River. Bruce designs and sells gold jewelry and is an active community member in economic development, chamber of commerce and other activities.

Back in the late '90s... (THIS IS OLD STUFF)
All About Us & Living in Delta Junction, Alaska

 Megan's

Sixteen & living where? Why... Delta Junction, Alaska of course!

Being a young woman from the eastern shore of Virginia... Spending some time living in Alaska is some times a real trip! At other times it's just dog do-do between your toes.

Fishing while you quilt...
Does your hubby need great fishing information? (So he will let YOU quilt longer at ACQC?)

We even have extra machines. Lots a table space and scissors, cutters, fabric & Chocolate!

Dawn Is One Busy Lady

Slamming, spamming, observing the weather as an official weather eye for the FAA, home and pre-school teacher, missionary to Alaskan natives up river, quilter, shop owner, observer of the Big Pig (see Boston, MA), mother of 4, aunt of Megan and Michelle, sister of 5 and breeder of MacKenzie River Huskies (the 5 month old puppies are already 60 pounds and the mama is close to 150 pounds of BIG dog).

Dawn and Peggy

Dawn is also breeder of Lonesome Duck... who lives in the bath room tub and occasionally comes out to see if there is anyone around to quack at!

Did I mention a QUILTER who quilts at 3 am in the morning.

And Manager of the 3-day , small town, agricultural Deltana Fair (July 27 to 30, 2000)... with cotton candy, magicians, and greased pigs all a flutter. That is Dawn in a nut shell.... a BIG Nut shell!

Peggy Likes To Get Things Organized! NOT!

Peggy is most proud of being a grandmother of four... count 'em... four little girls. (She has three sons... but evidently only their daddy... can make boys!)

As Clerk of Court for the local Alaska State District Court... (her real-day job) she gets to hear all the seedy gossip about who did what to whom here in Delta and the surrounding Tanana Valley.

She is on a first name basis with the local woman magistrate... the three men Alaska State Troopers and other real fun people.

Besides trying to quilt... run a quilt shop... and do this web site... Peggy is also the vice president of the local Chamber of Commerce... the president of the Deltana Fair Board and president of the Delta Youth Court Board. She is also a member of the local Homemakers group (they mostly just eat stuff and gossip!)

On the side Peggy has run her homestay Alaskan Cabbage Patch B&B since 1986.

It is only two bedrooms but in a pinch she has had as many a 9 cops stay at the B&B. (They were part of a group of policemen and women running from Houston, Texas to Fairbanks, Alaska to raise money for leukemia.)

As a B&B operator, she is the cook, maid, chief bottle washer, and greeter.

(Chris, her husband does all the hard stuff like making the brochures and designing the web site and telling tall Alaskan tales to the guests!)

Why Chocolate?

How is a quilter in a fabric shop like a chocolate easter bunny?
Answer: They both eventually lose their heads!
